My coaching style is one of positivity and encouragement. My students need to be in the right place psychologically so I work hard on this aspect by motivating and encouraging them to strive towards personal bests. I love the sport of ice figure skating and also want my students to develop the same love for our beautiful sport.

Our aim at Skate Strong is to encourage progress through passion and hard work. Personally, I hope to share my skating skills and experience.

My coaching philosophy is to have an environment that encourages skaters to learn and develop on and off the ice. Create positive attitudes in training, both in the good and bad times. Remembering that respect, discipline, sportsmanship and determination will always stand the test of time.

Passion, Power, and Pride is what drives an ice skater. Passion for what you do, Power both mentally and physically, and Pride in your sport and your team.

My focus is on the skater as a whole; proper technique, presentation, mental strength, positive attitude, and a joy for what you do.

Skills gained in figure skating can be applied to all aspects of life. My aim as a coach is to not only enhance my skaters’ physical abilities, but also help them build a strong mental foundation to ensure they reach their full potential.
